Wissenschaftlicher Werdegang

Jakob Zollmann studierte 1997–2002 Geschichte, Philosophie und Politikwissenschaften an der Humboldt Universität zu Berlin und an der Université Sorbonne I in Paris. Außerdem studierte er Rechtswissenschaften in Berlin und San Francisco (LL.M. 2005). 2008 wurde er an der Freien Universität Berlin mit der Dissertation Die Kolonialpolizei in Deutsch-Südwestafrika zum Dr. phil. promoviert. Von 2008 bis 2010 arbeitete er als Unternehmensjurist im östlichen Europa. Von 2011 bis 2024 forschte er zu rechtsgeschichtlichen Themen, internationalen Beziehungen, Rechtsstaatlichkeit am Wissenschaftszentrum Berlin. Im akademischen Jahr 2023/2024 unterrichtete er als Visiting Professor an der Sorbonne University, Abu Dhabi.
